Abby and Rob’s Romantic Central Park Engagement Session | New York, NY | New Jersey Wedding Photographer

Abby and Rob were referred to me by my good friend Hilary Katzen who is also a wedding photographer in the New York City area, as well as Florida. I truly appreciate her kindness in sending me referrals, and consider her to be one of my close friends in what can be a very competitive industry. After doing a FaceTime consult, I knew Abby and Rob were going to be a great fit for me. They decided to have their engagement photos taken in Central Park, which is of course a photographer’s playground, while also being very busy. At one point another photographer got testy with me because I unknowingly stepping right in front of another couple on a busy stairwell while trying to scope out/plan a composition for Abby and Rob in my head. Throughout the entire session Abby and Rob were extremely patient and allowed me to try several different poses, lighting setups, and I made several minor adjustments that I think resulted in a very nice result. As the day turned into night, we headed towards the Metropolitan Museum of Art to do some final photos on the iconic steps of the museum. In such busy/popular locations, it is sometimes possible to get overwhelmed, or have too many distracting backgrounds filled with other people. Yet due to Abby and Rob’s willingness to listen to my suggestions, and work together as a team, we were able to create our own little quiet slice of New York City, undisturbed by the millions of others moving through the city that never sleeps. Thank you both for being such great clients, and I cannot wait for your wedding in 2019!
